Description
Levofloxacin is a powerful antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone class, used to treat bacterial infections. It operates by inhibiting two crucial bacterial enzymes. Levofloxacin is a synthetic broad spectrum anti-bacterial agent. Chemically it is a chiral fluorinated carboxyquinolone. It acts by inhibiting DNA-gyrase. It is bactericidal and has activity against many gram +ve, gram –ve and Anaerobic bacteria.
