  Piroxicam, like other NSAIDs, acts through inhibition of tissue cycloxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to a decrease in pro-inflammatory prostaglandins (the potent mediators of pain and inflammation)

  • Allergy to NSAIDs
  • Peptic ulcers
