Description
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) drug that helps alleviate symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), stomach ulcers, and other conditions caused by excess stomach acid. It does this by stopping the proton pump enzyme systems from secreting acid in the stomach. You may take esomeprazole as a delayed-release capsule or tablet to be taken orally once or twice daily, depending on your condition.
