What is it prescribed for?
- Gastroesophagal Reflux DiseaseZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s is used in the treatment of GERD (a condition where stomach acid and contents flow back and irritate the food pipe).
- Zollinger-Ellison SyndromeZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s is used in the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition where the tumor in the upper part of the small intestine will produce the excess amount of acid in the stomach.)
- Duodenal UlcerZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s is used in the treatment of Duodenal ulcer (a condition with open sores on the lining of the small intestine).
- Helicobacter pylori InfectionZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s is used in the treatment of H.Pylori infection which is a most common cause of peptic ulcer caused by bacteria called Helicobacter pylori.
- Erosive EsophagitisZORAL 20mg Capsule 14s is used in the treatment of Erosive Esophagitis which is an inflammation of the food pipe (Esophagus).

Cutaneous and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
ZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s may be associated with lupus (systemic and cutaneous). Signs and symptoms such as extreme tiredness, painful joints, rashes and lesions on the skin after consuming ZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s should be reported immediately to the doctor and ZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s should be discontinued.

Impaired liver function
Use with caution if you suffer from liver impairment. A daily dose of 10 to 40 mg is sufficient.

Bone fracture
Use of high dose of ZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s for prolonged duration may increase the risk of bone fractures especially in older patients and women. Supplements like Calcium citrate and Vitamin D should be taken after consulting the doctor.

Vitamin B12 deficiency
Long-term treatment with this medicine may decrease the absorption of Vitamin B-12 in the body. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Driving or operating machinery
The use of this medicine may cause visual disturbances or dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

General Instructions
Take ZORAL 40mg Capsule 14s at least half an hour before breakfast. Do not consume in larger amounts than advised. Consult the doctor if you experiences any undesirable effects.
